Default '77 300D fuel lines

I had what seemed to be a fuel starvation problem. I changed the fuel filter and strainer and it seems to have solved my problem. While doing the work I noticed that there are small hoses running from the block that has the strainer on it to each glow plug bank. The hoses are original and seem to have diesel seeping through them. How do i go about replacing these hoses and can i use regular fuel line or do I have to get them from a MB part supplier?

If I understand you correctly, you seem to be talking about the injector overflow lines that have a terminal point near the firewall and loop from each injector forward then back to the spin-on filter housing?

If this is the case, you go down to your dealer and get 3 feet of this hose and then just pull off the old hose (use needle nose and grab at the base of each hose and push off really), cut the new hose to fit and just push it on over the barb until it is fully seated.

Don't use aftermarket hose unless you're positive it's the right size and suitable for diesel. I know when I got my car someone had used a thin diameter black cloth-braided line (and it looked nice) but it turned out that stuff was only meant for vacuum line and quickly deteriorated.

It sounds like you are talking about the return lines. If you use gas rated hose it will not stand up to diesel, you need to use diesel rated hose for this. I went to a truck parts shop near me and got 3 feet of diesel rated hose for less than $5, I doen't remember the exact price but it was not very much and that was 3 years ago.
