300SD Oil pressure drops when hot
Hello All:
We have a 1983 300SD that has been a daily driver till covid hit and we telecommute. It is driven less since covid. It starts, runs and drives fine even in freezing weather in the 20 degree range. When it gets warm to operating temperature oil pressure drops one division on the gauge and there is also a lot of blowby. When we bought it 18 years ago the odometer was broken and we had it repaired at once. It shows 231,057 miles presently.. We have kept oil and filter changes up to date and used Delo 400 Diesel Engine oil. Is this engine headed for a catastrophic failure and should we keep driving it? Any wisdom would be greatly appreciated!
