300D Turbodiesel Cruise Control
Had car for just a few days. Cruise control was working ok. Took 600 mile trip to shake down yesterday, cruise quit. Checked the obvious brake bulbs, fuse, vacuum mudule tests at 75 ohms. Does this mean module is bad?
The problem is probably bad solder connections in the cruise control module. On my SDL, it's under the dash by the steering column, should be the same on yours. The module is a shiny metal box. Disconnect and remove it. Open the cover and resolder the connections on the circuit board. This is a common problem, and it also occurs with the automatic climate control unit. I could be wrong, but if it was working recently, this should fix it.
