My 1982 Mercedes-Benz 300D Turbodiesel has 112000 miles. On Edmunds.com I was told that its Private Party Value is $1188 and that its Dealer Value is $1896. It is in "Average" (using Edmund's rating system) condition. It has some rust. One door is banged. It has about 3 scratches and 3 dents. The driver seat is torn. It has a busted headlight (a yellow one). The stereo is missing. I think it has been repainted because the car is entirely light blue, but one of the doors exposes some dark green. Maybe the door is not the original. Maybe the car was dark green. Who knows. The rims are still very good, chrome. The car runs great. There are no mechanical issues. Does anyone have any idea if the estimates of edmunds.com are valid?

 

I just paid $1500 for a 1982 300d with 235,000mi. It is in good shape though, a couple of rust spots, a cracked windshield, missing radio antennae but in relative good shape paint, interior, aftermarket radio, etc. Hope that helps, Steve

maby even more
the classics 20+ year old and gaining there resale value
i wouldnt be suprised if you go $5000+ for it
