[size=1]Help my wifes 1982 240D was running fine on a tuesday but when she went out to start it on wednesday it ran like it had a dead miss[:'(]
When I came home i changed the primary fuel filter and that seemed to cure it for two days. Then she called me at work and told me it was doing the same thing again, I just wonder if there is anybody out there that could help me with possable things to try?

 

Several possibilities. Here are the most probable.

a) Algae in the fuel tank. Keeps blocking your filters.
b) A fuel leak. (Could also be a bad primer hand pump), Allowing air into the fuel system.
c) A bad load of diesel fuel.
d) Vacuum in the fuel tank. Remove fuel cap, and retry
