Transmission is leaking, alot, from what I can only assume is the front seal. 212K miles, Does not slip when I top off fluid level, only slips when level drops to one quart low.

Can I drop the transmission and replace without removing the motor and transmission as a unit? I have heard both. I do not have vertical space to lift both in my garage. If I can drop any tricks?

Also, suggestions on rebuilding this transmission or replacing. If replacement, suggestions as to where to acquire.

I am new and will be participating frequently as this car needs more and more repairs.
