You should check out a very well regarded grass roots biodiesel homebrewer named Maria "Mark" Alovert. She has a homebrew guide that is worth reading. If you do a little research on Mark or even Google her name you can get lots of outstanding information.

You may find that changing out your old rubber fuel lines for modern fluroelastomer lines and then making your own homebrewed biodiesel is a much better idea than performing a WVO conversion.

Properly made B100 is almost identical to petro diesel and in my humble opinion you will have much lower riskof enginetrouble using this method, especially in an older M-B - which I agree - is a great car to run with.

Why would anyone even buy a W123 if they aren't going to convert it to Veggie oil? It's not like it's that pretty of a car. The only reason they have any value is the veggie oil thing.

Greg,

I bought mine because it's solid, reliable, fuel efficient, comfortable, loaded with options, actually is pretty classy looking, and I can work on it myself and buy all the parts from my local dealer.

jimi,

we've been through this once before - it's not really an affordable level.
