1972 220D Is there a ground for the glow plugs?
I have been driving my little fellow daily for about 8 months with no problems. I ran it out of fuel and have been having problems starting intermittently ever since. I just replaced the glow plugs and primed the fuel system and it will not start.
Is there a ground wire that I may have forgot to attach when I finished the installation?
I have a gerry rigged GP system that starts from the positive battery post to a 60amp fusible link to a manual heavy duty spring switch next to the steering column, then on to the glow plugs that are linked together.
I put a volt meter on the glow plugs and each one is measuring 12.8volts with the GP switch engaged.
Thanks for any input. I am getting frustrated. I love driving this little car.
