Default radio bose question

I have 97 e320 AM/FM cassette unit...... How do i determine if the stereo is a Bose unit? Nowhere on the unit does it indicate Bose, and I have not seen BOSE displayed anywhere in the vehicle.....

If this is not a bose unit, will I be able to just purchase a compatable aftermarket unit.?

It probably isn't a Bose if their name can't be found anywhere. They would definitely put it somewhere for all to see. How about on the door speaker covers?

If it's not Bose, you should be able to add off-the-shelf components. However, to be sure (because we can't be here), I would take the car to a car stereo shop and ask them to verify. It should only take a second.
