I have a base model. No Sport Pkg or Value Pkg. Bose system with Amp in cubby behind the seat.
Looking for the trunk mounted CD changer. Dealer wants $764.00 plus install..

Question is this system Fiber Optic or straight plug interface? Any quick way to tell before I order?
Any MB part number?

quite certain that your year/model uses the D2B fiber compliant system. easy to verify if you go into your trunk and lift the liner (whichever side is usually used to mount the changer) . i you car is US issue, then you will see bright orange fiber harness there. DO NOT KINK this cable. it'll cost you hundreds$ to replace/repair. backpedeling: S models may be a little diff than E and C models for some reason...and may use different audio units not shared by others of same model year.
