Default Hydro Shock system problem 99SL600

My 99 SL600 front shocks quit working. And the rears will pump up all the way leaving a 6" gap between the top of the tires and the fender well opening. The benz dealer charged a friend of mine 1200.00 to diagnose his and wanted 4k to fix them. His we all pumped all the way up.I read somewhere that someone has put a kit with normal SL500 style Bilstiens and new coil springs to swap out. There must be a fuse to pull and some plugs for the Hydro lines. Can someone lead me down the right road. My car is in awesome shape other than this.Triple black Sport model with 70k miles. But if I want to drive it I have to bleed out the rear shocks and it looks like a low rider and rides terrible.Picture shows how it used to sit. Now it is down over the top of the tires.Thanx,Tom

Sad that nobody on here has an answer to your problem. Makes me want o unload my SL600 before I have an issue that no one except a stealership can solve.

ALLDATA - OEM Auto Repair Information for Professionals will explain the system fairly well.
