what to use to clean dirty wheels

Default what to use to clean dirty wheels

When I bought the car the rims were very dirty and I still cant get all of the -grime?- im guessing off of them, does anyone have any suggestions on what cleaning solution I should use?

looks like it not grime but the clear coat or paint finish is worn.. prolly best bet would be to take to a reputible rim shop and have them repainted

Yeah, looks like a clearcoat issue. There's still dirt on them, though. Best cleaner, IMO, is Nver Dull. Usually easy to find in discount auto parts stores.

Wear gloves. Not an everyday cleaner, but will clean any metal surface. Follow with soapy water and a good rinse.

If you plan on keeping the car and the stock wheels you could always get them powdercoated.

We have this item called RIM-ICE , you spray it on your wheels, painted, chrome etc. and it keeps all of the brake dust off. It works very well, awesome stuff. 10.00 a bottle.
