Default Time for tires SL500 1996

It's time for new tires on my 1996 SL500. My previous tires 225/55R16 were Michelins and were great on wet and dry and very quiet. They were Pilot Exaltos A/S and appear to have been discontinued. The models avalable in this size now are much more expensive and not rated well. Has anyone had Continental contact patch DWS? I may have the name mixed up. If not that tire, any others that you recommend. Lots of local driving and highway in the 70+ range. I have had BFG's on another car and they were very loud new and still were at 10,000 miles. I have Bridgestone low profile on another car and I love them. Bridgestones previously on a different car wore out very fast. I'm open to anything that gets decent wear (yes, I want at least 40,000), and is quiet. I don't have snow but some rain. Needs to be at least H speed rating althought W works as well. Thanks

If your ride won't see any snow, I suggest the Conti DW instead of the DWS. The DW is a good summer tire with reliable traction on dry and wet roads.

Nitto tires Motivo would also be a great replacement. Not that expensive, but your could surely depend on.
