Q. I have a 86' 420SEL. I want to upgrade my vehicle with a new wheel/tire package without greatly sacrificing the ride quality. Therefore, which size is preferable:
1.) 18 x 8 245/40wr18 Avon Tech M550 2.) 16 x 7 225/55zr16 Avon Tech M550 3.) 15 x 7 225/60vr15 Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S Thanks!

 

Go with the 15in or 16in the 18's will kill ur ride the other too should be about equal. 15" is stock so i'd go with 16s but i still has stock rims on my 560 and 300. But i put 18s on my Audi and it killed the ride but handles even better so.

 

I would go with a 16 inch package. The only problem is that there are not a lot of wheels out there that will fit. You will mostly find replica wheels.
