I leased a 2006 C230 Sport in September. Due to financial reasons, I want to sell it. I put $7500 down and my payment is $371/month. There are 24 months left on the lease with 10,000 miles/year. I spoke with Mercedes and they told me that I could simply transfer the lease payments over for a $300 fee. If you are interested in taking over the lease or purchasing the car from me, please let me know. The payoff is $29,750 for this car. 7-speed auto, pewter with black itnerior, sirius satellite radio, moon roof, BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

Hey do you know if they have to run credit in order for me to take over the lease? I'm buying a house so i can't have my credit run right now. I would love to have that car for a second vehicle. Please let me know. Thanks.

 

Yes, they do run your credit to transfer the lease. The way it works is that Mercedes will send paperwork, they will qualify you for financing, if you are approved, they will simply transfer the lease over to you. The beauty for you is that you get the benefit of taking on the lease payments that I arranged after putting a large down-payment down. If you are really interested, check with your mortgage broker about this and see if he/she thinks it's ok.

 

Johnmajor will need to wait until his mortgage loan is closed before applying for additional credit. Many lenders will run an additional credit report just before closing their loan. If they find additional credit has been applied for and/or approved they will rerun the borrowers ratios and this lease could be the difference between obtaining a loan or not.
