FS: 1985 300TDT Diesel Wagon
Best offer. Rare model, but enough issues that it may only be good enough for parts. Your decision.
Engine still runs at ~270k miles---still has many more to go. Love the car and deep diesel sound, but selling because I don't have time/expertise to fix issues with car.
Known issues:
*Needs brakes replaced (have pads + shoes), and left rear brake line replaced due to rust
*Needs muffler re-hung / replaced
*Has rust around wheel wells, especially right rear (see pics)
*Only 1 window button is currently working (all window motors work, but connection between buttons and windows are broken somehow)
Typical-for-age issues:
*Rear hydraulic suspension broken (typical for this model)
*Radio missing
*AC doesn't make cold air, but heat and non-heat blow.
Pictures available here: https://plus.google.com/photos/10951...Nj065-h9d7PzAE (from 2010, since then the car has remained stationary.)

Are you saying the rust around the jackholes means the car can't be driven at all? is there any way to repair this?
I was interested in buying this car for parts to fix my 300D, but the jack holes are totally rusted out on my 300d (it came from new jersey), and when I tried to use the jack on the side of the road it just tore the tube and pushed it up until it bent the sheetmetal. I had to call a tow truck to bring me a floor jack to change the flat tire.
I'm now doubting if my car is even worth repairing. your guidance is appreciated.
also, to the OP, What are you asking for your car?

Might just let the scrap man take it away for $150 or whatever they are paying these days. Seems with some significant body rot it's just not a reliable road driver, especially with the crazy wrecks we see around here. It still runs and drives, but not very well. engine needs a timing chain, transmission started shifting weird a few years ago and it really needs one of everything.
