17" Viking Snow Tech Tires for C230
I had these on my 2005 C230 (4DR) for 2 winter seasons. My C230 was a lease and it was returned a month ago which leaves me with these tires that I cannot fit on my new SUV.
For those of you that don't know about the stock tires of the C230, they won't grip when the temperature drops below 40F degrees. I live in NY and I fish tailing a couple of times when it snowed alot during the first season so I got these tires (from Mavis) for my 2nd winter season. Though I've never fish tailed with these on, but I've learned my lesson not to go driving in the middle of a blizzard. During light snow (1-2 inches) these work great.
Owners of C230 should really consider getting winter tires if they don't already have them and live in places that snows. Vikings aren't the most expensive (or high end) tires you can find for the C230, but they actually worked well for me and as long as you don't go rallying in the middle of a snow storm, you should be fine with them.
Here are the specs:
225/45HR17
Viking Snow Tech (A Continental Brand)
Winter Snow
Size: 225/45HR17
Speed Rating: H
Service Desc: 91H
Load Range: SL
Ply Rating: 4
Sidewall: Blackwall

Brand new, these tires sell for $99 per tire. As you can see from the pictures, I still have at least 70% thread on them. I'll sell all 4 of them for $100, but you'll have to pick them up from me or you'll have to pay for shipping and shipping tires isn't the cheapest thing to do.
You can contact me: mtoda@hotmail.com if you want to know more about them tires.
