Does anybody know where I can get a cover for the first-aid kit (part #: A123 860 09 60) in my '85 300D @ a reasonable price?

The old one is broken from sun damage and there are only 3 new ones in the world at outrageous prices.

If I can't find a used one, I will be forced to fabricate one from fiberglass.

 

You may have found a cover for your 1st aid kit by now; however, I just purchased a replacement from an import salvage yard. They simply cut it out of another mercedes. I paid $50 for it. However, a question back to you...how did you go about installing yours in your car? Got any photos of the process? Thanks

 

Found one just like the old one. Four screws and it is done. No modification required.
