<FONT face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" color=black size=2>I have a 240D and when I turn it to glow plug it goes out but when I turn to start, nothing. All lights on instrument panel light up, I have a new battery and I thought it might be the starter but when I jump the solenoid, it starts. I thought it was solenoid and replaced but still nothing. Could it be the ignition switch? Or, could it be the nuetral safety switch? Or, maybe something else.</FONT></P>

I'll bet it's the neutral saftey switch. The same thing happened to my 240D, so I carried a remote start button with me for a few days to jump the solenoid until I could replace the neutral safety switch. Easy to replace. <IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"></P>
