He IS a surgeonfish, and they ARE actually on the menu.
I bet most people never know how pretty or how smart they are.
He will eat out of my hand. I can pet him. When I clean the sand, he gets involved too. He stares me straight in the face when I look at him. He's a part of the family. I named him Queegueg after the native harpoonist in MobyDick; his face is colored like native face paint, and his tail actually has spikes that he uses to slash other fish, so the name is very suiting. But don't run out and buy one so fast, you'll almost need a degree in water chemistry to care for them.

Your opinion commands respect. Most people don't consider his tank to be small, but it is of course smaller than the Caribbean sea.

Good choice of name, BikerDrew. A few years back, we found a litter of five kittens on the side of the road (we live out in the country). We found homes for three kittens, and when we had two left, my 11-year-old son suggested names: Mercedes and Benz. I couldn't give them away after that!
