What is your pet's name?
Three weeks ago I decided to get a new animal to tear up my house. Since I am gone all day, a new dog was out of the question. So, I adopted a female cat... Mercedes

RE: What is your pet's name?
Seems that the letter"M" is popular for pet names. I actually googled the pet names topic and found a web site that had thousands of cat and dog names. "S" and "M" were the longest name lists. S & M, did I just say that? [sm=gobble.gif]

RE: What is your pet's name?
i have a boxer named b'ellana jean but we call her belle.
our cat is named alley. (as in she was found in the alley) we adopted her from a mother to be who was moving and couldn't take her to the new house.
we adopted her cause our 3 cats had died. mysti-kat (a lynx point siamese) was attacked by a pack of hunting dogs.
smokey (chocolate point siamese) got spooked and ran under the car as our youngest was backing out of the driveway. we had him for 10 years. he was the youngest son's cat.
tiger (a bengal) missed smokey so much she refused to eat. we tempted her with shrimp & milk and tuna and all her favorites, but she wouldn't eat. she took 3 days to die.

Sorry about your cat's demise. I feel a little bad, but this time I am keeping my cat indoors only. No bugs, no contagious diseases, no fights, no getting eaten, no cars. Perhaps I just need another cat to keep her company. We'll see.

I know. I have to control my dog a little better. In that pic above, he's just finishing up a brown poodle he lured into his range. Notice the "Who? Me?" look on his face? That's the poodle's tail between his paws. That and a little fur was all that was left when I took the pic.
Merlin likes all the poodles he meets. They all taste the same to him. You'll be glad to know that he hasn't eaten even one cat... yet.

thanks, mysti was the hardest as she was my & my husdands baby girl. smokey was the next hardest cause my baby (youngest son) was crushed when he got out of the car. smokey died in his arms. i still tear up at the rememberance of it.
the new cat is not allowed outside at all.

Way off topic.
I see you collect (or collected) math books. More insights into the life of a forum dweller.
I took every statistics class offered at the university I attended in pursuit of a BS in accounting, and grad work in industrial psychology. Six years of college, two degrees and now I am in construction estimating. Go figure. My books are long gone too.
