Hi phd2007
I am not sure what is the model year of this car but I am positive to you that THIS IS AN E320 AND MODEL YEARS WILL BE BETWEEN 2003 TO 2004 AND 2005, E320 WILL BE UPGRADED TO E350. ACCORDING TO THIS PICTURE, I BELIEVED THIS IS AN EITHER 2003 E320 OR 2004 E320.

Here's the deal: I'm a divorce attorney who's trying to keep costs down for my client. I've driven a BMW since I got out of law school (don't throw things at me), so I'm in unchartered waters with Mercedes-Benz. The above photo was taken in Los Angeles, CA, less than six months ago, and I'm looking for an approximate vehicle cost.

Am I safe to say that, new, the vehicle in the photo was $55,000.00 to $65,000.00? What would the current approximate value be?

Again, thanks for your help.

i feel relieved it wasn't c280 wizard (allan) car on the photo.

his wife's attorney wants to sell it.

it depends on the engine, mileage and options installed. if it's just plain E240, then maybe 38k.

Hi
Based on my knowledge of Benz and I have seen this car type several time during my searching for purchasing E320, I decided to get a 2000 E320 4dr Sedan Base Platform (mean no extra options and no AWD) around $25,000. I got my car in 2005 when the car in the picture turned 2 years and the new car price start at $48,000 for 2005 E350. I suppose the car in the picture is 2003 E320 then now you can get around $32,000 with excellent condition and MB Certified. But one more thing I want to warn you that 2003 E320 is the worse year of this type with several electrical problems and mechanical failure. If you can afford it up to $55,000, I recommend you to get an 2006 E350 or 2005 E350 when the issues were solved mostly. I must feel sad to tell you that Mercedes Benz is more and more dropping down its excellent quality in this type of model: E-class so if you really love it, I recommend you buy extra 100,000 mile warranty to protect your pocket for any surprising failure could occurs during the first 2 years. Now you know why I spend for so long to search for an E320 and ended up to get a 3 year old model like 2000 E320 because this is the only year has less trouble compared to the rest. The fact that for the past 2 years after purchasing the car, I never paid anything major beside regular tune up and minor repair. Bottom line, if you love that platform, try to pay around $50,000 to get the nearly new form at least 2005 E350. Don't jump back to 2003 where is the first year MB change the plaform from mine to that picture shown above. Do more research on Google Search Engine and see the professional reviews about your favor model before knock any dealer door. At the Google window search, just type: "2005 E350 reviews", you will see a bunch of review there. This is your money so think carefully before get it. It took me more than 4 years to do all kind of research before getting my 2000 E320 instead of 2004 E320. Good Luck to your new Benz.

I'm sorry; I wasn't clear. The car is not going to end up in my hands. In my state, that would be a violation of the pawnbroker's act. Plus, I'm perfectly content with my 2006 BMW 750 Li.

I'm trying to keep private investigator's costs down for my client, so instead of giving my investigator the photo and asking him to do the research, I'm trawling around the Internet first to see what I can find on my own.

I represent Party A in a divorce. Party B claims that Party B has zip money and hasn't for several years. However, Party B drives the above Mercedes.

Sorry for the confusion, but thank you very much for all the help.
