Mercedes cars are probably "safer" then other cars. BUT safety starts with the person behind the wheel, first and foremost.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL, AND LIVE LONG AND PROSPER!

Yeah, especially if the Mercedes weighs 3800 lbs and the Toyota weighs 2700 lbs. There's nothing unusual about what happened in that head-on crash. M-Bs aren't the safest cars.

I saw a guy get t-boned at 50 mph in a 380SL years ago. Idiot ran a red light and tagged him in an intersection right in the driver's door. Within minutes the guy crawls out the passenger door and rises to his feet. I was impressed. [sm=hail.gif]

Illegal in the Federation, need to sneak it across the neutral zone, and pay big for the stuff. My mother was 1/2 Vulcan, 1/2 human and my father was a Klingon.

My son's friend just bought a 05 Toyota Camry, with a 4 cylinder which has a Vtec type setup. I was impressed. The cars is relatively quick, comfortable and loaded. But loaded with gadgets, which is nice I guess. The quality is much better then the loaner 2003 Camry the mercedes dealer gave me when I had my car serviced once. That one was a 4 cylinder and it was cheap inside, material wise, couldn't get out of its own way, and rattled like crazy.

I will admit it was a loaner, and was a 03 with over 50K miles. My son's friend, car is very tight, much better material inside, the cloth seat are especially comfortable, and it has esp, tc, abs, in dash CD and tape, all the power stuff. and the kid got a fantastic deal and 2 year bumper to bumper and a total of 6 years on the power train, and all eletrics. Still as I was once told, once you drive a Mercedes, you won't want another car, and you know, I think it is true. I have no plans of selling the C280 and the 450SLC is a fun car, from the 70s with a hugh and fairly powerful V8 and you actually drive the car, not a point a click car like today's cars.
