In a way even better! I'd like to own one and slip a Benz grille/emblems onto it.

RE: W124 is back in production!
See the first time I've seen these things was when I was stationed in Korea in 2003-2004 time period. These cars are nice and just from looking at them I knew Mercedes had alot to do with them .I never knew they went out fo production. It's a car in Korea that basically that says that "you have made it" while still driving a domestic car. Usually the people that owned these cars in Korea were driven around by a chauffer and usually were buisness owners. The other choice was called the Equus. Another common choice was Kia Opius which has currently came to the states under the name of Amanti.
All and all the Chiarman reminds me of what an E-Class would look like if the S-Class for some reason never existed.
Many people think that it's a large car for $66,000 and only come with an inline six and that's probably one of the many reasons they have not imported them to the states yet. In Korea, a car is a luxury in itself and even expensive to get a lisence to drive one. A person with a V-8 BMW or Mercedes is usually certified Millionaires. And V-12 drivers in the exotics categoryare even more filthy rich than the owners of the US countewrparts. It's nothing in Korea to see a 1.8 inline four banger that'sabout the length of my 560sel's engine compartment.
I wouldn't have mind owning one of those but ever since leaving Korea, I thought seeing the brand SSangYong Chairman and the Rhino for that matter was going to be left with the Korean memories. I wonder if there is any word on the Equus expanding.
