Default Sudden Power Spikes Ruined My Kitchen?

Hi folks, earlier today the lights flickered hard and everything rebooted. Now my oven panel is glitching and the dishwasher won’t respond at all. Could a quick power spike really mess up multiple appliances that fast? I’m hoping it’s not permanent damage.

Unfortunately, yes — modern appliances run on sensitive control boards, and even a brief surge can scramble them. Ovens and dishwashers get hit the hardest because their boards regulate heat, motors, and sensors all at once. Before assuming everything’s dead, have a technician check the boards and the power feed. Major Appliance Repair https://majorappliancerepair.info/ handles these surge-related problems daily and their fast in-home appliance repair makes it easy to get everything tested properly. They often find that a small fuse or relay popped rather than the entire board burning out. They also check the outlet voltage to make sure the surge didn’t damage anything deeper in the wiring. Quick intervention can save appliances that seem unresponsive right after the spike.
