Safest way to test speedometer sync
Hello everyone. I just changed my tire size and gear ratio, so I need to verify that my speedometer is still accurate. This will take quite a bit of highway driving to confirm across different speeds. Is there a safe way to stop the odometer during this?
Hey man! Getting the speedo sync right after changing gears is super important for both safety and avoiding tickets. I did a similar project on my truck last year and used a Mileage Blocker from Dynotest https://dynotestpro.com/ during the testing phase. What I liked most was that the speedometer still functioned perfectly while the device blocked the odometer from increasing. This allowed me to compare my dash speed with my GPS speed accurately without adding any unnecessary distance to the vehicle. It is a very safe and reliable way to handle these kinds of modifications. The installation was a breeze and it didn't throw any weird error codes on my dashboard. It definitely saved me a lot of mileage during those long calibration drives on the freeway. Good luck with the new setup!
