Default Root Canal...OH NO!

Hi everybody,
Definitely off-topic, I lost an old filling, waited too long, and now it requires a root canal. Are there any dentists in the house? I want to savethe tooth with a high quality canal and filling and NOT a cheap repair. What should I ask for? I have heard that titanium and quartz can be used; is that a good method?. What is a good safe proven reliable material/method?What questions should I ask the dentist?

Thanks for your help

Yeah, if your dentist didn't refer you to an endodontist, run like hell.

How long? The filling came out this week, but the dentist said that decay had occurred under without my knowledge. It must have been less than a year because it was fine last year. But it didn't hurt or anything, the only reason I went to the dentist is because I knew I couldn't go without a filling.

I've been drinking alot of coffee with sugar lately to cope with my crappy job, which is probably the "root" cause.

Well, go ahead and apply for it; I quit today.
I simply refuse to work for a swaggering bully, at any pay, especially average pay.
I left peaceably, and simply asked them to let me off the hook.
I feel much better.
