rant of the day
hello, I'm not really looking for a reply, but feel free to add your input if you feel so. I just find it makes me feel better to vent on screen.
The background story to my rant is that there are fewer and fewer benzes(particularily w208 cab) at the scrapyards, remember the places where you would find hundreds of cars piled upon each other where you could find any part necessary.
For the past couple of days I have been on a mission to find a hydraulic pump motor for my convertible top. I have called over 50 auto recyclers, not one of them had a clk convertible in stock!
Exhausted, I asked one of them why there weren't any, and the reply I got was that car theives buy salvage vehicles, then go out steal a matching vehicle swap the id tags and voila! they have a car for sale with a rebuild title. Apparantly he said that it is so common that he guesses more than half of the vehicle out there for sale with a rebuild title were actually never wrecked in the first place.
which leads me to my rant...
TO ALL CAR THEIVES!:
GET A JOB AND STOP STEALING HONEST PEOPLES' CARS. IT MAKES IT DIFFICULT FOR ME TO BUY USED PARTS!
