Default r-12 freon prices...

hi guys,

i have read several posts on the internet sites on various message boards, stating that the price of R-12 freon is now just about cheaper than R-134.
I have not found this to be true at all.

R-134 sells for about 7.00 a can in my local auto store.., R-12 sells for about 22.00 a can on ebay, and every place else I can find it.

Has anyone found R-12 (not replacement r12) anywhere for less ?

thanks,
Kevin

You can't legally buy R12, unless you are licensed.
Not that get the license on the Internet is a big problem.
The prices you are talking about might apply to substitutes. My local truck dealer sells 30-lb of R12 substitute for around $130 and no license required.
