Modern gas leak detection solutions
Hi everyone! Does anyone have experience with gas network audits at large commercial facilities? Our fixed sensors sometimes show strange readings, and it's a waste of time to run around the entire warehouse with an old portable detector.
We rented an old factory building and noticed that reports showed unexplained gas overconsumption, despite there being no obvious odor in the air. Standard portable gas analyzers detected nothing, and the main pipes run 8 meters up under the ceiling-it's physically impossible to get up there with soapy foam. Do you have any recommendations for modern solutions that can detect gas leaks remotely without shutting down the entire facility or calling emergency services?
We had a similar problem at production facility where I work. The pipes were high up, so use regular soapy water - was a bad idea. Old portable detectors often provide inaccurate readings or become "blinded" by chemical fumes or dust. So, they also can't help our case. We turned to Mayagloba, they’re experts in Gas leak detection . I didn’t realize it was such a broad field with so many interesting aspects. They have cool laser detectors that can measure methane concentrations from up to 50 meters away, right from the floor. They scanned the entire pressurized upper section without stopping the workshop and found a leak in the flange. The next week, they came back to give us a safety lecture. How much gas do you lose per month, approximately?
