So I am trying to see if there are any mercedes technicians on the forums and what you guys think about working for benz?

how long have you been a tech?
what dealership/area you at?
hows the pay/benefits?

Looking to get into the ELITE program and seeing what you all thought about the company.....

thanks

hey i have been a tech for about 5 years now.......i have worked 2 years with VW and now 3 years with MB. i work for mb of morristown in new jersey. i am paid very well but the benefits could be better. i don't know how other dealers are with there benefits. if u know anything about cars than i would say just continue to work on them and get hand on expierence. i think the elite program is a waste of time.....we have 3 elite techs and only 1 of them is any good. i missed the elite program by 1 question and i am happy i did because i don't think i would be in my position if i went to elite. overall i think that mb is a pretty decent company but they do make some poor choices which effect the techs the most. since we all get paid flat rate there poor choices effect our pockets and the dealers pockets.

You would probably make $60-$80,000 per year in California and be broke there too. I guess it depends on where you would rather live.
