Guys would do this sort of stuff where I grew up in Northern Utah. They'd take a Jeep or Japanese truck 4x4 chassis and put other bodies on them. I've seen a VW Bug, MGB, van, Corvette, and other stuff I can't remember. It fills the time and exercises one's creative side when you're a seasonal worker where the winters get really bad, I guess.
