i finally got my lisense today, it felt weird not to have my dad in the car. man i am excited, i feel freeerish. i still have to call them to tell them where i am going but better than them driving me around.

Some states are worse.
I live in MD and i got my License in 2001 and u have to drive 40hrs with parents, go to drivers ed and have had learners for 4 months and be at least 16 and one month. And u could not drive between 12am-5am. Without a reason until u were at least 17 and 7months with no moving violations. i think it has gotten harder now i aint sure though

The DMV is nuts in MD. The 40hr thing is a fairly good idea, but I bypassed mine with about 34 bs hours. There's no absolute way to create decent drivers, just an absolute way to make the DMV more complicated and more time consuming...
