Default Katrina and her waves

I am watching the reports on the hurricane. A very strong storm that may destroy New Orleans. Hard to beleave that a whole city is buit bellow sea level near the ocean. Anyone know of someone in the path of the storm?

It's going to look surreal in the aftermath. A bunch of very tall buildings rising out of the sea, some of them toppled over, with caskets floating around them. A lot of boats driving around with people doing stuff. The Superdome filled with thousands of people with nowhere to go for weeks or months. No power. No sewage, except for the raw stuff floating around.

The worst part is that the US will spend tons and tons of the taxpayer's money to dry it out and rebuild it. It hardly seems worth it.

Maybe presidents Bush Sr and Clinton can do fund raisers? Seriously, you are right, everyone will have to pay for the damage. FEMA will go broke.

My predictions:

We'll see at least one vehicle poked into the side of an office building above the 3rd floor.

We'll see at least one farm animal looking out of an upper floor of an office building trying to figure out WTF happened and WTF to do.

my prediction:

*katrina will break enough tree to build the noah's ark.

**there will be a long line of people on the toilet of superdome which happens to be flooded.

***that farm animal on the upper floor of an office building got castrated by the 200Mph wind and found his nuts missing.

Monday morning. D-day. So far all I've seen is stupid reporters standing out in the storm. Gosh, I miss Dan Rather. Courage. Oh, the Super Dome IS leaking.

Weakened to a cat 4 overnight and the storm surge is half as high. New Orleans will still be underwater with much wind damage, but it could have been worse.

I read the wind is peeling the roof off of the Superdome. That's where it's leaking.

Dan Rather? I thought everyone was glad to see him gone? It would be fitting to see him floating aimlessly in a row boat babbling something about "What hurricane? I don't see no hurricane."

He was a blowhard.

Katrina is causing tornados to light off around Atlanta. I might be sleeping in the basement tonight. No problem if the power doesn't go out. My home theater is down there.
