A surfer off the shore of Galveston, Texas, was arrested Friday for not adhering to evacuation orders and surfing the large waves created by an approaching Hurricane Rita, according to a Local 6 News report.

There was a video report that some troops in NOLA were being spooked by “spirits.” Yeah, ghosts.

Ya know? If you think about it, maybe it makes sense. If you live on the Gulf Coast and buy a surf board, don't you have to wait for a hurricane to stir up a good wave?

 

ive never been in that area..do they get the kind of waves needed to surf?

 

I think so, but not large ones... unless there's a storm (not a hurricane). I worked with a guy from TX that surfed. I never actually asked him any details but I assumed he surfed the TX coast somewhere.
