Vegetarianism has been linked
to better heart health
Intelligent children are more likely to become vegetarians later in life, a study says.
A Southampton University team found those who were vegetarian by 30 had recorded five IQ points more on average at the age of 10.
Researchers said it could explain why people with higher IQ were healthier as a vegetarian diet was linked to lower heart disease and obesity rates.

When i was 16 i scored a 140 on an IQ test and LOVE MEAT can u say BS??? Now do get me wrong i like fruits and vegetables also but would never give up meat. I am not obsese overweight well yeah i'll give u that but i am not unable to get around, play paintball without passing out and i can go bicycle riding for 3-4 hours and feel refreshed afterwards. SO they can take there NO MEAT and go hugh animal while i grill one
While I don't buy into the notion that vegetarians have higher I.Q.'s... I will admit that I was a vegetarian for about 15 years... not a vegan... I did eat dairy products, no millk because I don't like the stuff, but probably too much cheese.... which is little more than liquid meat... So it seems to me that the term "vegetarian" first needs to be qualified before making such claims...
I started eating meat again simply because it's too hard to travel and be a vegetarian. But even today... I'll grill up a steak for my wife... while I'm happy with a bowl of organic blackeyed peas, cooked with a little ham hocks, or not, and organic brown rice.... Not because I'm smart.. but because it just tastes good...

some of my favorite vegetables are:
asparagus
sliced carrots
corn and green beans
rosemary
potatoes
and of course, tomatoes
i am drolling thinking about my favorite veggies. they are best beside grilled steaks.[sm=bounceybounce.gif]

i bet the veggies were overlooked in this pics, but those juicy steaks got more attention.
it's weekend guys, let's go out for bbq. it's freezing cold outside, but the charcoal can give a bit warmth
