RE: The crazy Bugatti Veyron - video
Before I open this video.
The first one off the assembly line to be road test, almost crashed right there on film. That may be the same film or not, but it's not veryday that the so called "don't try this at home" expert almost crashed a million dollar car right off the bat. And the only Veryon built at the time.
Now on a side note, with Bugatti (owned by VW I think.) out and with a W16 1000hp engine, when will good old Cadillac release the Cadillac Sixteen?
I love the design to that Sixteen. They should really use it whether they down size the engine to V-12 or what. Even though they rae still the top American luxury,, they don't have that appeal like back in the day.
Back in the day, a guy/gal said they had a Benz, they was made. A guy/gal said they had a Rolls, they were uber rich. A guy/gal said they had a Cadillac, successful. People wanted to know who was behind the wheel of that thing and wanted to be like him/her. Now it's ho hum, I rather buy a luxury import. But now they must decide on the price. Would you pay $150,000 (the price that they tossed out so far.) for a V-16 Cadillac? With a car looking like that, they could pull it off. Just hope that their prestige image is so far gone that they suffer the VW syndrome (Phaetom.)

As far as the VW syndrome goes they were first know as the people car and should have just stayed that way. I have spent the last 5 hours re-restoring my mom's 66 Beetle and the simplicity of it is amazing.

I placed my order for one. Should have it by the beginning of 08, if I am lucky. Going to pick it up in Europe, when I move to Germany at the end of 07.
I will post a picture of me and my Bugatti in the fatherland.

True. And Cadillac started off as a luxury car. That's like some asking you to buy a $90,000 Ford "luxury" car. But some people would buy a $90,000 Lincoln just as some folk probably would buy a $90,000 Audi but not a $90,000 VW. Same car but different name and "heritage".
