I have a 1986 Mercedes 420 SEL 4-door sedan. It has chrome rims (original). On two of the rims the chrome is damaged beyond repair (except to re-chrome which is difficult and expensive). Can I purchase two new chrome rims (same size obviously) which do not match the originals (cannot find any replacements) and use these with the two which are on the car? I will be getting four new tires at the same time.
