I think the Russians are secretly plotting to nab some terrorists. Putin probably told the museum to display the cartoons in order to flush out some bad guys. He'll be there waiting for them when they show up... and they will. He's gotta still be a little pissed about the theater and school sieges, and the airplane bombings, and Afghanistan, and some other stuff.

Putin doesn't care too much about freedom of the press. In fact, he'd get rid of it right now if he could.

Yeah, it was only a cartoonist, not a country. But like I said, any excuse. That's all they need to start their killing and bombing. Pretty soon, they'll be blaming Israel for the cartoons so they can justify to themselves some more killing and bombing.
