My wife, children and I booked a trip through GetExperience, but unfortunately our youngest son, Andrew, fell ill the day before we were due to leave. We have already bought our plane tickets, but would like a refund for the tour. Does anyone know if it is possible to cancel the booking and get a refund?

 

Cancellations are free up to 24 hours before the start, so there's no need to worry. I also went there two years ago to film a wedding. It was a very strange situation because, when I arrived in Cape Town (where we were due to travel to Castle Hout Bay the following day), the groom's mother announced that the wedding would not be going ahead. Even more bizarrely, she paid me for my work even though I hadn't filmed anything yet. I asked her if they could get a refund for the castle reservation. I was pleasantly surprised when she said yes - it is indeed stated on the GetExperience website.
