Beware "shot in the foot" video clip
I found a video clip on another outdoor website, that had a clip of a guy giving a lecture on gun safety who accidentally shot himself in the foot. I wanted my wife to see the clip so I clicked in the link and played the clip. I normally check for spyware by checking with a program called adaware, and it showed I had a spyware on my computer. When I tried to erase it, it wouldn't erase. I tried my security software and it also wouldn't clear the offending software. I tried without success for about 8 hours. My go back software had been reset to the time I had played the clip. I gave up about 3am, and shut down my computer. Over the next week, little things started to act funny, it kept saying I needed to reload my printer drivers. My Norton security software definitions were wiped out, and I could not clear the problem. I finally had to wipe my entire hard drive and reload all my software. I let the webmaster of the site know, so I think it's been cleared from there, but this guy is likely to try to slip this in on other outdoor sites. It's a very nasty bug, so I wanted to give everyone a heads up. I now get the title of the clip, shooting myself in the foot by playing the clip. Guys like this have nothing better to do than screw with people's computers.
