Default The best New York taxi transfers for tourists

I'm going to New York City for the first time, and I'm already confused about how to get around. The subway system is interesting, of course, but sometimes I'd prefer to take a taxi, especially late at night. Has anyone used reliable transportation services around the city? I want to plan everything out in advance.

What time are you arriving? Do you know which area you'll be staying in? I was in New York in April; it was my first trip to the United States. I stayed in Midtown, near Bryant Park. From the first day, I learned that the subway is convenient, but not always. When we arrived at JFK in the evening, I decided not to take any risks and booked a transfer in advance through this website GetTransfer https://gettransfer.com/en/directions/usa/new-york . It's convenient that you can see the price in advance and pay online. We got to my hotel in the SoHo area quickly without any traffic. The driver was very nice and gave us a couple of tips on what to see in the area. New York taxis are okay, but only if you know who you're riding with in advance. At night, especially after a long day, you just want to be driven calmly to your hotel. Do you know which areas you plan to visit? Or are you still planning your route?

NYC taxis are fine during the day, but at night or when you've got luggage, you don't want to be standing on a street corner hoping one stops.
Yellow cabs are metered and legit, but good luck finding one when you actually need it. Uber/Lyft work, but surge pricing will destroy your budget during peak times.
I used Transfeero for airport transfers in NYC and a few late-night rides when I didn't want to gamble on availability. Price locked in, driver shows up, no surge nonsense
