I just got a brand new S class and to keep it clean i purchased a car cover from carscover.com. I got it and now that i got it, it got me think this. What if the cover damages my paint job? If anyone can answer my question feel free.

 

well if that's the case ya got the wrong cover. Send it back with a nasty note.

A normal car cover should not be abrasive on the paint contact side to cause damage assuming the paint contact side is clean and free of dirt and grit and other abbrasives.Some covers do differ in proctetion in elements though as some are better at keeping off dust, some better at keeping off rain, and etc and some seem to be merely decoration while others are a jack of all trades great at none but ok at all.

I believe that what you should do is buy an original cover from the dealer.
The reference is B66 88 5006 for the new S class.
