Marylands minimum wage is $6.00 /hr. I have been in college and can no longer stand it. Its like i am going to bve totured everday i leave to go to school.I have been a full time student since Fall 03 (graduated high school in spring 03). i just feel so frustrated that i cant go out and buy things that i want (house and more cars). I have an AS in chemistry and there are job openings like crazy for 28-35k a year thats only an hour drive from my house. And those are entry level with advancement. If i had my way i would work on my cars all day then come inside at night and read and post on the forums and watch TV.

in this country where i work (china), the minimum wage is US$110 every month. ( that's one hundred and ten).
such is earned by janitors, drivers, food handlers, etc.

yes, they can live with that since they eat tofu and veggies with strips of meat on it. they don't understand why i have to eat half pound of beef or half fried chicken in one sitting.

getting a $2k/month and driving buick here makes them think i am a rich man
back home, it can hardly make ends meet (start to end of the month).

 

I gotta ask what kind of buick and what year?

Just think all that torture in school is nothing compared to working a full time career and raising kids and paying taxes and...Oh wait! That's life. Enjoy your childhood, even if it lasts until you are 40. Mine did!
