Default vmi question??(how to get one and everything else?)

Hey guys Im going to be a first time buyer of a mercedes, 1994 mercedes s 500.

I wanted to get the service records before I buy it.

I heard something about a vmi? vehicle master index.

Basically what does a vmi include?

And my biggest question is how do I go about getting a vmi?

Any info would be great, thanks a lot.

Never heard of something called a VMI but if u go here and type in the vin its a vin decoder and gives some info on the options the car has among other things http://www.mbclub.ru/mb/vin/?lng=eng

No theres something called a v.m.i

Its called a vehicle master inquiry. All mercedes benz dealers have records to it.
basicallly it tells you all the serive records of the car under warranty.

I need to figure out how to get one.

you need to go to your MB dealer and ask the service advisor to pull one for you , it will tell you all recalls or warranty work done on her
