Default Testing the Mercedes Waters

Hello from North Carolina,

Current long time BMW owner thinking of making the switch to Mercedes. Has anyone else followed this path and can provide their perspective? Are you glad you made the switch? The 2008 C350 has caught my eye...

Thanks for any feedback!

Welcome to the forum.

I'm in North Carolina as well. I was a BMW fan for a long time as well. I was all the while curious about the Mercedes Benz, and was amused with the love/hate relationship between the two. Opinions do vary as it pertains. However, I decided that it would not be a bad idea to simply own two timeless vehicles, with hopes that neither would drain my pockets. Thus far I've been fortunate. I enjoy them both immensely. However, I love my Big Body Benz, and it still gets the attention of the Ladies! heyyyy! Welcome.

Default RE: Testing the Mercedes Waters

I was faithful BMW owner for the past 10 years. When it came time to replace my BMW 328 the Mercedes C350 caught my eye. We drove both the BMW 335and the Mercedes C350 and the mercedes won me over. Both cars handled well on the road test. The BMW was perhaps a bit tighter on the road. But the new sportier exterior of the Mercedes was just what I was looking for and the interrior won me over. BMW just doesnt provide the interrior pampering that I would expect in a car at that price point.
We were lucky enough to be looking at the C350 when a 2008 Saks 5th limited edition happened to show up. I am so thrilled to be the owner of one of these beauties. They only make 1000 a year and some of the proceedsgotowards womans cancer research. While I felt a bit guilty leaving my BMW behind I got over my guilt quickly once I got behind the wheel of my newC350! Hope this helps.
