This morning we had 10 inches of snow and my new E320 cdi handled horribly - much less stable then a vw golf tdi. I guess, this is typical of a rear drive car. I've just placed an order for a set of spikes-spider and will leave this set traction devices in the truck for the winter. Best of luck. jcl

10 inches is a bit much for even a front wheel drive.

Hi again! I had the answer yesterday...i was leaving my driveway and i start going up in the street when....the car stop, it was impossible, not because of the snow but because of the ice. Next monday its the first thing yhat im gonna do: Change to winter tires, Bridgestone Blizzak its a good choice?
