S420 & ? DUO Valve (climate control) question

Unhappy S420 & ? DUO Valve (climate control) question

I'm trying to get my newest Benz, a '97 S420 home, but the guy driving it took it to a dealership cuz it was blowing luke warm air, & it smelled like something was burning.

My question is if the car is ok to drive approx 8 hrs if the climate control is off.
