I have just joined the Forum and would like to introduce myself and my car.

I live in the UK and have owned Mercedes Benz since 1981. I prefer the MB models produced during the 1980/90s as I feel that they are more solidly engineered and have more character. However, I do believe that the latest cars have better engines and gearboxes and have superior handling.

The MB cars that I have owned are W123 200E, W123 230E, W124 E220, W124 E320.

I have owned my W124 E320 Cabriolet Sportline since 5th January of this year. The car is dark blue with a black soft top and has the original 8 hole alloy wheels that have been refurbished.

Two years ago it won a concours competition run by the Mercedes Benz Club here in the UK. I think that the competition was "Street Concours". I am in the throes of going over the car to produce a list of items which I feel ned attention.
