Gooday, I am a new member and recent owner of a 2002 SLK 200 kompressor, it is an amazing piece of kit ,BUT,it has just recently developed an annoying rattle noise at 1500 to 2000 rpm the noise occours between the revs increasing and dying down i have followed the threads on the forum regarding this seemingly common fault, and have since have fitted a new magnet, and new loom, but the noise is still present . The car has covered 65000 miles and is really sweet with good service history, and with the VVT magnet disconnected sounds perfect, my question is this, has anybody come up with a cure for this fault, I will be most grateful for your help. thanks len.c
